Our cut-and-sew partners are located in Sri Lanka and India, primarily serving small rural communities but situated close to major ports and transportation hubs. Their decades-long expertise in producing, cutting, and sewing knits and woven apparel gives us a competitive advantage in the markets of Europe, the UK, and the US. The facilities comply with Sedex-SMETA, C-TPAT, BOI Sri Lanka, and Fair-Trade standards, ensuring the highest operational standards and strictly adhere to audits in ethics, compliance, technology, and security. Compliance audit partners include COSTCO, Marks & Spencer, Eddie Bauer, and DUNNES.

Collectively we believe workforce is our biggest strength. Our production partners comply with health and safety, social, and security norms. Providing a safe and sound working environment where employees are respected as individuals trumps all other business practices.

Crochet & Knitting

Our crochet and hand-knitting partners are associated with community-oriented knitting groups throughout the region. These groups are funded and trained by our partners according to respective orders and designs, as well as through their associations and collaborations with international yarn manufacturers, designers, and charity aid organizations.

Our partners provide a service for rural underserved communities to learn a lifelong craft that enhances their design skills and knowledge, helping them uplift themselves and create better products for the industry while improving their quality of life.

SDC strongly believes it is our responsibility to be a worthy partner in this process, improving the well-being of crafters and their families by bringing in as many orders as possible, thereby providing employment opportunities for rural women.
